WatchMyDC® Works as an ITSM Add-On
WatchMyDC® works as an automation plugin for your IT Service Management (ITSM) system. ITSM systems are widely known as service-desk tool or support ticketing system.
When your IT SLA is exhausted due to an enormous number of support tickets, WatchMyDC® acts as a knowledge worker clearing all repetitive and predictive tickets within minutes of arrival. Your staff devotes time to solving particular problems, and WatchMyDC® handles frequent support inquiries.
More testing of market-leading solution integrations is in progress. Any ITSM with external Webhook notification method is interoperable with WatchMyDC®. Tested integration documents are regularly published in the WatchMyDC® Knowledge Base. Contact us if you want to integrate your ITSM solution with WatchMyDC®.
Works with Any ITSM Tool
Industry-standard IT service management solutions (ITSM) support external notification methods through various channels. WatchMyDC® receives notifications through open standard protocols such as Webhook and Syslog.
For example, the FreshDesk external Webhook integration method can be found in their documentation here. The Zendesk Webhook integration method has been explained in this document. WatchMyDC® has also explained a few Webhook integration methods in their knowledge base.
Service Desk Systems for On-Premise IT
Your on-premise support ticketing system can send ticket creation events towards the WatchMyDC® Collector. WatchMyDC® Collector is a purpose-built Linux virtual machine (VM) that sits in your private network while communicating with the WatchMyDC® cloud services.
In a multisite environment, your centralized NMS can send notifications to site-specific WatchMyDC® Collector.
The detail of the WatchMyDC® solution architecture and various deployment models in a customer environment has been explained in the WatchMyDC® Design Document.
Service Desk Systems for Cloud Native IT
For cases of managing cloud-native IT infrastructure management, you can deploy the WatchMyDC® Collector on your preferred cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine, DigitalOcean, Google Cloud, etc. Collector Customers can also send the Webhook notifications from cloud-based ITSM tools such as FreshDesk, Efecte, ServiceNow, etc to a WatchMyDC® Collector deployed in a private network through port-forwarding in the perimeter firewall.
The WatchMyDC® Design Document explains these deployment models in detail.
